Privacy Policy

Last updated: 5 June 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Jay Griggs Software (ABN 77 130 189 035) (“I”, “me” or “my”) collects, uses, stores and discloses your personal information when you visit jaygriggs.com (the “site”) or get in touch with me. I am committed to handling your personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

Information I collect

Information you give me. When you submit the contact form, I collect the details you provide — your name and email address, and optionally your phone number, the type of project you’re interested in, and any message you write. If you email me directly, I collect whatever you choose to include.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, my hosting provider automatically records basic technical information when you visit — such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you view — in server logs used for security and to keep the site running. I do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

How I use your information

I use your personal information to:

  • respond to your enquiry and arrange a discovery call;
  • provide, quote for and deliver services you’ve asked about;
  • communicate with you about your project; and
  • keep the site secure and operating properly.

I will not send you marketing you didn’t ask for, and I’ll only ever use your details to get back to you about your enquiry or project.

Who I share it with

I don’t sell your personal information. I share it only with the trusted service providers I use to run my business, and only as needed:

  • Vercel — website hosting and server logs.
  • Resend — to deliver contact-form enquiries to my inbox.

Some of these providers may store or process information on servers located outside Australia (for example, in the United States). By using the site and contacting me, you consent to this overseas handling. I take reasonable steps to use providers that protect your information appropriately.

How I store and protect your information

I take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access — including using reputable providers and secure connections. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and I can’t guarantee absolute security.

How long I keep it

I keep your information only for as long as I need it to respond to your enquiry and, where we work together, to provide and keep records of my services. When it’s no longer needed, I take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.

Your rights

You can ask me to access the personal information I hold about you, or to correct it if it’s wrong or out of date. If you have a concern about how I’ve handled your information, please contact me first and I’ll do my best to put it right. You may also contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.

Children

The site isn’t directed at children, and I don’t knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16.

Changes to this policy

I may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the “last updated” date above.
